CONVERSATION Starter

Listening to silence. Have you ever? Dancing in silence. Have you ever? Breaking silence. Discuss your experiences, avoidance, attraction and opinions on silence.

Exploratory

Think of various uses of the word silence. Parallel and contrast silence with stillness. Try to be excessively active within silence or still with active music. Alternate, play, experiment. Use silence in a dance phrase literally or conceptually. Discuss.

  • New Mexico Rail Runner Trip: If you happen to be heading north, check out the gallery, Site Sante Fe, in the Santa Fe Railyard plaza and see the exhibit 'Nicholas Galanin: Interference Patterns addressing colonization and occupation. 

  • Take a drive to the mountains and dance in the snow. Take trip to Old Town and dance through the Gazebo, or head to the River of Lights and enjoy the atmosphere.
