2022 National Water Dance

About

Supported by the City Of Albuquerque Public Art Program, this event was a collaboration between Albuquerque Dance Connect, Keshet Dance Company, and National Water Dance Projects. Featuring Albuquerque dancers and choreographers, with music duo Wife of Bath, National Water Dance performances took place on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Albuquerque BioPark. There were site-specific dance installations throughout the afternoon at various locations throughout the ABQ BioPark Botanic Gardens (captured in the video compilation below) and the day culminated in the live stream performance at the ABQ BioPark Zoo Bandshell stage.

ABQ Dance Connect Site-Specific Pieces

Benedicion Ochun

This site-specific dance installation features Pilar Leto and took place in the Sasebo Japanese Garden.

W/O

This is an improvisational duet that took place at the Curandera Garden in the Albuquerque Botanic Gardens. Dancers @josouuu and @srilouise support each other through space and with attention and energy.

Dew Point

This site-specific dance installation took place in the Ceremonial Garden. It is a dance collaboration directed by Elyse Fahey with musical duo Wife of Bath and feature movement design and performance by an amazing cohort of dancers from our community.
