A legend, known as a Griot, Male Fainke was born in Mali West Africa. He is a master dancer and drummer who has traveled throughout the world sharing his culture, dance, and music. He has lived in Albuquerque for 25 years and is joined by dancer Lucy Kozikowski in this high energy, community centered dance class offered at Double Time Dance Studio. All levels are welcome. Dress in comfortable clothing and bring water.
Male' teaches African dance and drumming every Sunday at Double Time, located at 209 Washington SE.
There will also be a drum lesson beforehand, from 4:00-5:00. This portion is not covered by the ADC free class, any class fees for this portion are payable to Male’. Drums will be available to borrow.
